• Attends all meetings of the Board and keep recording of the proceedings • Posts and publishes all legal notices • Effective public relations skills • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Suite • Knowledge of computer programs (2M Data Systems) for fund accounting and payroll systems • Knowledge of governmental accounting practices • Knowledge of IRS payroll rules and regulations • Establish and implement budgetary guidelines per governmental accounting standards • Financial management and reporting of all funds within the District • Interpret and supervise the expenditures of all approved budgets • Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements • Review, revise and recommend applicable policies and procedures • Assists Supt and Board Chair in preparation of agendas, recording of board meetings, and preparation of board minutes • Postings and publishing legal notices associated with the work of the Board • Coordinates with County for school elections • Ability to maintain confidentiality of District proceedings and student concerns
Primary purpose of this position is to maintain accounting and payroll operations that provide accurate and efficient services to the school district in accordance with accepted accounting principles and legal requirements. Assignments will include responsibilities in general ledger, accounts payable, grant accounting, payroll management, and financial report preparation.
