Job Description

West Jefferson School District #253 is seeking qualified candidates for a CTE-Business Education Teacher for the 2021-2022 School Year

JOB DESCRIPTION: • Job location is at the West Jefferson High School, 1260 E 1500 N, Terreton Idaho. • Teach secondary students grades 7-12 • Develops strategies for maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. • Utilizes effective teaching methods and employs a variety of instructional techniques appropriate to the maturity, interest, and needs of the students. • Quality instruction through lesson plan development and strategies. • Advisor for Business Professionals of America • Supports Special Education students by implementing IEP and 504 plans. • Participates in district professional development activities.

QUALIFICATIONS: • Idaho Teaching certificate, or ability to gain one, with CTE Business endorsement (multiple endorsements a plus). • Able to pass a background check. • Strong background in curriculum and state standards. • Excellent public relations and communications skills. • Works well with students, staff and the public. • Strong background in the integration of technology with instruction. • Familiarity with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) preferred. • Familiarity of Response to Intervention (RTI) processes

Education Required
