Knowledge of District school improvement initiatives, including effective instruction, content standards, content area literacy, SIOP, RTI, PBS, differentiation, and assessment practices. E. Demonstrated ability to maintain the integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or District patrons. F. Experienced in working with small groups of children who are identified as gifted and talented. G. Valid Idaho Teaching Certificate endorsed for appropriate levels and subjects. H. IV. JOB GOALS:
To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement. To provide advanced learners learning and enrichment activities, experiences, and opportunities in specifically designated areas of curriculum. To provide teachers with professional development and training to work with advanced learners and provide enrichment instruction on a daily basis in all content areas. The Enrichment Educator will assist the Leadership Team, Multidisciplinary Team, principals, and classroom teachers to provide direct support and assistance in the classroom in the use of effective instructional strategies, use of data to improve student achievement, and instruction aligned to state and district-identified standards.
V. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: A. Serves as case manager, following state and local procedures, for identification of gifted and talented students at Sunnyside Elementary. B. Supporting advanced learners or students who would benefit from accelerated programming or enrichment opportunities at all grade levels. C. Teaches/facilitates appropriate curricular activities to identified gifted and talented students. D. Provides classroom enrichment materials in reading and math as requested at each grade level. E. Maintains records for identified gifted and talented students at Sunnyside Elementary. F. Assists grade level teams with curriculum development for gifted children. G. Seeks out opportunities for professional growth and forms strong professional relationships with colleagues. H. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information. I. Communicates effectively with administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, students, and parents. J. Supports teacher learning and mentors staff in the implementation of proven teaching methods. K. Works collaboratively with teachers to help analyze and improve instructional practices. L. Coordinates ongoing formative assessment with grade level teams. M. Provides model teaching lessons or side by side coaching based on classroom observations. N. Provides staff development (small or large group) in effective instructional strategies. O. Uses data to improve student achievement. P. Supports data teams and collaborate regarding instructional decisions based on data for high achieving students. Q. Cultivates and models a respectful working and learning environment. R. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and maintains the integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or District patrons. S. Has regular and predictable attendance.

VII. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The exact terms of this position will be determined by the needs of the district and budgetary constraints. Benefits will be in accordance with approved board policy. Salary will be in accordance with the placement on the Teacher’s Salary Schedule commensurate with years of experience and education.
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Building Principal as part of the teacher evaluation process in accordance with provisions of the negotiated master agreement and board policy.
