Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager is a classified, supervisory employee whose primary role is to recruit necessary certified/classified personnel to insure that consistently high educational benefits are afforded to each student in the district. Assist in implementing the district's employment policies in a consistent and positive manner to comply with state and federal employment laws.
Qualifications - Minimum:
Associates degree or four to ten year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience deemed acceptable by the Superintendent and Board of Trustees. Consistently ethical behavior and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality are essential. Sound decision-making skills, aptitude for problem solving, proficiency in planning and organizing, strong work ethic. Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. Ability to be detail-oriented, maintain high levels of confidentiality, and manage multiple projects at one time. Ability to listen without any bias or pre-formed opinions or judgments. Ability to display a very positive and helpful attitude towards all employees and the ability to foster positive teamwork. Ability to value and promote diversity in the workplace. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret government regulations, write reports, and present information effectively. Ability to perform basic math functions to calculate hourly wages, compensation rates, and budget compliance. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to efficiently use of database, spreadsheet, and word processing programs. Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work and deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, friendliness, poise and firmness. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
