Job Description

The Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections (IDJC) is seeking a full time Instructional Coach. This position is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating specialized educational programs, as well as providing leadership, direction and consultation to instructors and treatment staff at all three Juniper Hill School locations in Lewiston, St. Anthony and Nampa.

This position will have a home base at the Headquarters office in Boise, but will be expected to travel in state 30-50% of the year.

The starting salary for this position will depend on relevant experience and placement on the IDJC Education Career Ladder. This position is eligible for a 3% increase above the starting rate on the career ladder.

Example of Duties This is a professional instructional coaching position for Juniper Hills School locations in Nampa, Lewiston and St. Anthony. Typical responsibilities will include modeling teaching expectations by subbing in classrooms and teaching model lessons; facilitating the intellectual and professional development of teachers; creating strong relationships with teaching staff at all three schools; communicating and demonstrating research-based instructional practices that result in increased student performance; communicating effectively with all members of the school district and families as appropriate; reacting to change productively and supporting the value of an education.
