Job Description

Clark County School District #161 is seeking qualified candidates for a Jr. Sr. High School Math Teacher for the 2021-2022 School Year

The Teacher will be part of a team that works with a total of 70-80 students in the Jr. Sr. High School. The teacher will work approximately four days a week, M-TH 7:30 to 4:30, with an occasional workday or in-service on a Friday. This is a fully benefited position to include health insurance, PERSI retirement, and many voluntary benefit options.

JOB DESCRIPTION: • Job location is at the Clark County Jr. Sr. High School, 43 West 2nd South, Dubois Idaho • Teach students from 6th to 12th grade • Develops strategies for maintaining a classroom environment conductive to effective learning. • Utilizes effective teaching methods and employs a variety of instructional techniques appropriate to the maturity, interest, and needs of the students. • Quality instruction through lesson plan development and strategies. • Supports Special Education students by implementing IEP and 504 plans. • Participates in district professional development activities.

QUALIFICATIONS: • Idaho Teaching certificate, or ability to gain one, with 6-12 Math endorsement (multiple endorsements a plus). • Able to pass background check. (Fingerprints and background check are at the expense of the applicant). • Strong background in curriculum and state standards. • Excellent public relations and communications skills. • Works well with students, staff and the public. • Strong background in the integration of technology with instruction. • Familiarity with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) preferred. • Familiarity of Response to Intervention (RTI) processes
