Compass Public Charter School provides a unique opportunity to work in a K-12 aligned school requiring strong collaboration skills and a willingness to contribute to the positive school culture. Our curriculum is challenging and mastery based, our students are enthusiastic, and our colleagues are dedicated and flexible.
Compass Public Charter School recognizes each child as an individual who, by virtue of his/her humanity, is in community with all the other children in the school, regardless of age. By teaching moral and ethical standards which align with traditional American values, the goals of our founding fathers, and the United States Constitution, the school prepares its students to accept the privileges and responsibilities of American citizenship. Every child is capable of achieving his/her potential to the fullest extent when afforded respect, fairness, kindness, discipline and appropriate instruction. Just as this core value specifies a student's potential for success, educators at Compass have unlimited potential to get out of the work exactly what they put in.
Our school is a public charter school located in Meridian, Idaho. Founded by a group of dedicated parents, Compass opened its doors in August 2005. Like most charter schools in our community, Compass was established to add a strong public school choice for families in our area. We now serve over 1,200 students in grades K-12.
Compass Public Charter School's Mission is to provide a safe and challenging learning community that prepares students for lifelong excellence through exceptional academics, character development, and the ability to define and defend a personal worldview.
