Job Description

Filer School District is accepting applications for a Student Mentor (8 hrs/day) for Filer Middle School for the 2019-2020 school year. The successful candidate will have experience dealing with at risk youth. The applicants must also meet State guidelines for paraprofessional status. The salary is according to the negotiated salary schedule. This position will be open until filled. QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Aptitude for the work to be performed
  3. Interest in children and education
  4. Desire to assist at risk students in a learning environment
  5. Emotional maturity and stability necessary for the specialized work involved.
  6. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board find appropriate and acceptable
  7. Team Player
  8. Self Motivated
  9. Strong Work Ethic

JOB GOAL: To assist, support, and work closely with teachers, administrators, and other team members in providing educational support for at risk youth.
