Elevate Academy East is dedicated to providing hands-on learning opportunities for all students. The Elevate system is designed for students to engage in a hands-on world that links traditional academics to the trades that they will be studying. Each staff member of Elevate Academy believes that through unified efforts we can overcome challenges and produce intended results for the students we serve. Staff believe in the mission and vision of Elevate and are willing to create the environment to make it a reality.
• Implement Next Step Ready (NSR) curriculum, which is a set of skills that was collaboratively developed with students, parents, and Industry Partners.
• Implement and design curriculum centered around Career Technical Education.
• Crosswalk standards to align with trades to provide context and purpose for all standards students are expected to master.
• Teach students skills that align with the trade to better equip them for success in the workforce.
• Scaffold instruction using the learning hook, identify where students are in their educational journey through assessment and engage them at the level that is appropriate for their growth.

Implement Tough Love
This is a strategy used to develop responsible behavior. Staff are tough on students by setting high expectations and follow through on actions that need to be taken when expectations are not met.
• Work with students using a variety of strategies that have been proven to move students on their personal timeline toward owning their own education.
• Create a hopeful environment.
• Be open to continuously learning.

Education required

Bachelor's Degree required, preferable in related field. Elevate can help with the teacher certification process.
