Enrichment Program Lead

Location: Sage Boise
Grade: K-5 ESage Program
Position: Classified - Full Time
Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Schedule: 1:00pm - 6:00pm Monday - Thursday, then 8:00am - 6:00pm on Fridays, during school breaks, and summer
Start: Immediately

Description:
To coordinate a school aged enrichment program which implements the International Baccalaureate (IB) model. To help students with the ability to think across disciplines and develop the skills, attitude, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation, including inspiring them to live extraordinary lives. To promote an enriching and safe environment for students through leadership and program supervision.

Responsibilities:
● Oversee and implement all aspects of the enrichment program focusing on the school’s philosophy of education, instructional goals, objectives, lesson plans, calendars, and classroom instruction.
● Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities and field trips based on the age of the students.
● Promote active learning using structured and unstructured activities that foster the social, physical, cognitive, and emotional development of students.
● Understand and apply appropriate positive guidance when interacting and redirecting students.
● Always provide outstanding customer service.
● Provide day to day guidance and supervision of program employees
● Communicates effectively with program employees regarding goals, expectations, and changes.
● Work to establish and maintain open lines of communication with co-workers, students, and their parents’ concerning day to day happenings.
● Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of classroom and facility, including outside play areas.
● Always follow all safety policies and procedures.
● Keep the Enrichment Director informed of activities and any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:
● Child Development degree preferred or equivalent experience in related fields and a minimum of 2 years of experience working with children of all abilities.
● Hold a class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsement or willing to obtain a CDL within 60 days of hire. Will reimburse expenses for obtaining CDL.
● Minimum of 1 year in management, managing employees of 4 or more.
● Certified in CPR and First Aid or ability to obtain certifications within 60 days of hire.
● Must be able to lift 50 pounds in weight.
● Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and use sound judgment on ambiguous decisions.
● Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
● Worked in applying developmentally appropriate practices for children and effective classroom management.
● Ability to build genuine relationships with families and maintain a welcoming environment.
● Maintain knowledge of bus passenger safety and effective discipline procedures.
● Maintains knowledge to be able to diagnose minor problems and notify Enrichment Director of appropriate repairs and maintenance and general upkeep of equipment.
● Inspects all school buses on a regular basis to determine those high standards of operability, cleanliness, safety, and security are maintained.
