Richard McKenna Charter Schools is seeking teachers who want to be inventive, creative and work in an extremely positive environment. If you are that person then Richard McKenna Charter Schools is the place for you. The program is a project-based learning approach. The teacher will work with students in Math/Science subject areas, as well as other content. The staff are all excellent instructors and a great positive environment with lots of support exist in the school. The Junior High classes will have no more than 24 students per grade. Small class size - 24 students. Financially sound school system. For the successful candidate there is a $5,000 signing bonus, relocation reimbursement up to $5,000 and an annual retention stipend.The Junior High will have a new facility for the 25-26 school year.

• Ability to integrate technology into a blended class environment.• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the student population served and how demographic variables influences student achievement, and effectively uses this knowledge to design and delivery instruction.• The ability to effectively engage students in goal-setting and reflecting on their learning.• Demonstrates knowledge and expertise in multiple content and pedagogy.• Ability to develop and integrate project-based learning and to target rigorous learning and problem-solving skills.• Knowledge and/or experience using “backwards design” for lesson development, differentiated instruction to support all students, and formative assessment to provide student feedback and to adjust lesson delivery.
