Job Title: Math/Science Teacher & STEAM Electives Instructor**Position Overview:**We are seeking an innovative and passionate Math/Science Teacher & STEAM Electives Instructor to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching middle/high school students foundational concepts in mathematics and science, while also developing and delivering engaging STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) elective courses. This role requires a creative educator who can inspire students to explore the connections between these disciplines and foster a deep understanding of the subject matter.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Instructional Planning & Delivery:**  - Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state and national standards for math and science education.  - Design and teach engaging STEAM elective courses that integrate concepts from various disciplines to encourage critical thinking and creativity.  - Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including project-based learning, hands-on experiments, and technology integration.- **Assessment & Evaluation:**  - Create and administer assessments to monitor student progress in math, science, and STEAM courses.  - Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.  - Utilize data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.- **Classroom Management:**  - Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and collaboration.  - Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure a safe and productive learning atmosphere.  - **Curriculum Development:**  - Collaborate with colleagues to design and refine math, science, and STEAM electives curriculum.  - Stay updated on educational trends and best practices in STEAM education to continually enhance the curriculum.- **Professional Development:**  - Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with new teaching strategies, technologies, and content knowledge.  - Contribute to the school community by participating in school events, committees, and other collaborative initiatives.- **Student Support:**  - Provide extra help to students who need additional support, including tutoring and enrichment activities.  - Serve as a mentor and advisor to students, encouraging their interest in STEAM fields and helping them develop academic and career goals.**Qualifications:**- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Math, Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).- Valid teaching certification in Math and/or Science.- Experience teaching math, science, and/or STEAM subjects at the middle/high school level.- Strong knowledge of STEAM concepts and the ability to integrate these into elective courses.- Proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction and student learning.- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.- A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.**Preferred Qualifications:**- Experience with project-based learning and interdisciplinary teaching.- Familiarity with current trends in STEAM education and the ability to implement innovative teaching practices.- Ability to create a culturally responsive classroom that reflects the diverse backgrounds of students.**Application Process:**Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, and a list of references to [School's HR contact information].
